About Us

Three women sharing a joyful conversation against a dark green door.

Our mission

Celestine Foundation is a faith-based nonprofit organization impacting the lives of those with chronic illnesses by sharing knowledge and giving love.

Celestine Foundation is a place where caregivers and professionals assisting those living with chronic illnesses can share resources, tools, and lessons learned.

Celestine Foundation is committed to education on important topics impacting caregiving such as, What is Palliative care?, What are the stages of grief? , and Knowing the importance of self-care.

Our outreach campaigns are through the Jewels of Love program.  A philanthropic endeavor to uplift the spirit and display love & compassion, partnering with businesses & nonprofit organizations .

Celestine Foundation will be providing grants for private in-home caregiving, and,

Our ultimate vision  is  to acquire a facility to be a hospice/residence for aging individuals living with chronic illnesses. One that will include state of the art rehabilitation, physical therapy, nutritionists, homeopathic medicine, attending medical staff, and mental health practitioners on site.

Our History

In 2018, my  vibrant, energetic mom, Daisey Celestine, fell and suffered a paralyzing spinal cord injury.  Despite the conservative diagnosis, she was determined to walk again.  After a year of intense therapy, she worked her way back to being able to walk with the use of a walker.  In January 2019, she was diagnosed with kidney cancer.  She succumbed to the disease on March 29, 2019.  She was 81 years old.

The impact of these illnesses thrust me and my family into a world of advanced medicine, rehabilitation, insurance protocols, and caregiving. We needed help and it divinely came through loving and caring people.

I asked my mom, as we sat in the rehabilitation facility the first night, if she would allow me to start a nonprofit organization to share what we were learning.  She loved the idea.  The Celestine Foundation was a dream in 2018. It became a reality in May 2022.

With the priceless contributions of our board of directors, Celestine Foundation has a vibrant & ambitious vision to impact our community.  We look forward to sharing it with you.
